8 DAYS MATERUNI, KILIMANJARO, TARANGIRE, LAKE MANYARA, NGORONGORO & SERENGETI - FLY OUT(LION SAFARI)

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your pre-safari lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, relax and unwind after your journey while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of your lodge. Later, you will receive a safari briefing outlining the exciting adventure ahead. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay as you prepare for the start of your Tanzanian safari experience.

After breakfast, drive to the picturesque village of Materuni, located on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a guided walk through the village and surrounding countryside, learning about the culture and traditions of the Chagga people. Continue with a scenic hike through coffee and banana plantations to the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls, where water cascades from a height of over 70 meters into a natural pool below. After the hike, return to the village for an interactive coffee tour, where you will learn the traditional process of growing, roasting, and preparing coffee from bean to cup. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of local coffee before returning to your lodge in the afternoon for relaxation and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro and drive through the montane forest to the Londorossi Gate for registration. Continue by vehicle to the Shira Plateau, one of the highest points on Kilimanjaro accessible by road. Upon arrival, embark on a guided hike across the plateau, surrounded by stunning alpine scenery, unique vegetation, and panoramic views of Kibo Peak, Mount Meru, and the vast plains below. The hike offers an excellent opportunity to experience Kilimanjaro's beauty without undertaking a full mountain climb. After enjoying a picnic lunch and exploring the area, descend and return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife destinations, renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse landscapes. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, exploring its vast savannahs, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, which attracts an abundance of wildlife throughout the year. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your wildlife adventure in the afternoon. Later, exit the park and proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive in this scenic park, famous for its lush groundwater forest, acacia woodlands, diverse birdlife, and the alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos and other water birds. The park is also home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, baboons, and the renowned tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the beautiful surroundings before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, leave the park and travel to Lake Eyasi, arriving in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay near the lake.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a cultural excursion around Lake Eyasi, where you will meet the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and Datoga people. Learn about their traditional way of life, hunting techniques, customs, and craftsmanship while gaining a unique insight into one of Tanzania's oldest cultures. After the cultural experience, depart Lake Eyasi and drive through the scenic highlands to Karatu. Arrive in the afternoon and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing and preparing for the next day's Ngorongoro Crater safari.

After an early breakfast, depart for the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater and descend to the crater floor for a game drive in one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. Home to an incredible concentration of animals, the crater offers excellent opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the crater before ascending the crater walls in the afternoon. Continue your journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands and into the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, enjoying game viewing en route as you head to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in the renowned Seronera region of Serengeti National Park, the heart of the Serengeti and one of the best wildlife-viewing areas in Africa. The Seronera Valley is known for its year-round abundance of wildlife and exceptional predator sightings, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. Spend the day exploring the vast plains, rocky kopjes, and river systems while searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun sets over the endless savannah, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning at your lodge or camp before transferring to the airstrip for your scheduled flight from Serengeti National Park to Arusha Airport. As you soar above the endless plains, take in spectacular aerial views of Tanzania's breathtaking landscapes, providing a memorable conclusion to your safari adventure. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be met and transferred to your onward destination or connect with your international departure.
