Let's build your dream itinerary together.
This short safari takes you to some of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations, tailored to your preferences. The safari primarily focuses on Tarangire National Park, but you can choose to combine it with either Lake Manyara National Park or Arusha National Park. Alternatively, you may spend both days exploring Tarangire for a more in-depth wildlife experience. Tarangire is one of Africa’s most remarkable national parks, renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Often referred to as the "Elephant and Baobab Paradise," the park offers excellent game-viewing opportunities and stunning landscapes, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking an authentic Tanzanian safari experience.
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. The journey takes approximately 2–3 hours, passing through scenic Maasai villages and the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive in the park, famous for its vast elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and numerous bird species as you explore the park's varied habitats along the Tarangire River, the main source of water for wildlife during the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting wildlife in their natural environment. In the late afternoon, exit the park and transfer to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you may choose between two exciting safari options depending on your interests and preferred experience. Option 1: Tarangire National Park Return to Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive, exploring areas you may not have visited on the previous day. The early hours provide excellent opportunities to spot wildlife, including large elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. In the afternoon, depart for Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Option 2: Lake Manyara National Park After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park located beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through its diverse habitats, including groundwater forests, open grasslands, and the lakeshore. Look out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, flamingos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. After a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive, depart for Arusha, arriving in the early evening. This marks the end of your unforgettable 2-day Tanzania safari.
